Our bike features an RFID reader, enabling users to unlock the bicycle with a local transit smart-card. Users can sync a compatible card to their Social Bicycles account during active rental using the mobile app (both iOS and Android) and bicycle controller.
No backend integration is needed to provide interoperable access through common smart-cards or key fobs on the international ISO standard. This includes any cards or fobs from other bike share or transit systems.
