Social Bicycles gives you the flexibility to pause or end your trip inside or outside of a station. The integrated locking mechanism enables you to lock the bike to a standard bicycle rack outside of a station. When locking outside of a station, an out-of-hub fee may apply (subject to your local program pricing).
To prevent bicycles from leaving the overall system area, operators enforce a penalty charge if the bicycle is left outside the system boundary. Please see the Pricing section for more information, and consult your network map to understand the boundaries.
Always remember to check if the bike locked up properly. If you hear it beeps or you can pull out the U-lock, try locking it up again. When the bike registers proper locking, the 3 LED located on the bike's controller will flash green.
Never free lock a bike, leaver it blocking the pathway or lock it up to a private property as an additional fees may apply for violating Terms of Use.
